La visita di George ai night club di Soho riflette il suo rapporto paterno con la figlia: ciň gli ricorda che dovrebbe essere a casa a proteggerla dai pericoli di questo tipo di vita. George's visit to the Soho clubs reflects n his paternal relationship with his daughter: he is reminded that he should be at home protecting her from the danger off this type of life affecting her. It is clear that he is also searching for something within his own life that he has forgotten; perhaps he is trying to reach back to a time before prison as represented by Simone's picture of a girl called Cathy from years ago.
It is a kind of descent into Hell for George who, in
searching Cathy, seems to take up the role of
father and so looks also for the most authentical dimension for himself.
