Bristol's finest: Mr. Leach models the correct dress and position

for an evening meal in Hollywood ... before the white man arrived!

The A2 course allows you to investigate a director of your choice and try your hand at film journalism or screenwriting.   The exams involve study of a range of films from around the world, their contribution to the development of film history and their contexts of production.

The FS5 exam requires two questions to be answered.

But because the FS6 exam is a little longer (2hrs as opposed to 1hr 30m), there are three questions to answer.  These will be on elements like:

   film history and spectatorship,

   effects and influences of film

   questions of censorship.
